What is Forex Analysis?

Forex analysis is the study of determining whether to buy, sell or wait to trade a currency pair. Currencies traded in pairs, with exchange rates based on the price of one currency relative to another, for example USDEUR = USD Vs Euro

  • The dollar moved higher overall in Monday’s trading session, extending its rebound from a nearly three-year low started last week, taking away the fundamentals of the recent surge in Treasury yields and the prospect of a growth boost from higher US fiscal stimulus
  • Even though increased fiscal support has weakened the case for a rapid rate cut, the UK is still one of the countries worst hit by the pandemic, and combined with the negative effects of Brexit it means markets continue to hope that the BOE will eventually be forced to take rates negative, analysts write
  • The USD weakness narrative and broad passion for emerging markets have been challenged in the early sessions of the year more than we expected, which could lead to a rethinking of trade consensus, at least until next week, analysts predict
  • Dollar appreciation comes at a time of not only rising yields but also a period of risk-off created by increasing uncertainty about political developments in the US
